Adorable bears with rose-patterned fur!

Gift from Bukit Tinggi

A surprise gift,
quite unexpected.

The bear, carried in the backpack,
brought back from Port Klang.
Its ears a little "crumpled";
its fur not so well combed.

The thought behind the bear,
so warm the feeling,
so caring the gesture.

Bears at the window

There is a bear at the window,
no, more,
a bear and its friends,
all beckoning from the shop window,
with friendly smiles, and lovable gaze.

Drawn to the beary friendliness,
I approached,
picking up one pearly white bear,
then a honey brown one, with pink bow and pink designs on its feet.

A little boy approached,
also drawn by the cluster of bears.
Hugging the biggest bear of all, sitting on a cane chair,
he looked up as he nestled his face against the big bear.
We exchanged smiles of common understanding,
of fondness for lovable cuddly bears.

Birds of a feather flock together;
perhaps humans with kind hearts and lovable characters, do too.

our very own Bears

The pink bear took a bath yesterday. It was turning blue around the edges, dust clinging on to its soft fur. Even showing signs of a faint black "moustache"!

And today, after spinning in the dryer, it has emerged ... tada ... all pink and white again!

The pink bear - it has travelled, to US (to Evanston, Washington DC), and back. Stopping enroute at the Narita Airport. It has seen quite a few international airports indeed.

And its friend - the brown bear.
One of the first bears in our home, in a generation when bears were somewhat of a luxury toy. But having been brought up on a steady diet of Enid Blyton and the bears in the stories, one had to have a bear, even if one be an adult by the time one could get it!

The brown bear - it has grown up in the heartlands, and has travelled - from central to west of Singapore.

The bears - the matriach/patriach in the family of bears and beannies. :)
