Dynamics

A switch. How simple. A simple switch in a domino setup.

A team-building endeavour.

How fast, how good - tis member dynamics at play.

A balance between consultation and decision.

A balance needed between discussion/debate and getting down to work.

Too many cooks spoil the broth - there's good reason for this saying, we know.

the ice-cream index

Pistachio almond, strawberry shortcake, chocolate mint, mango etc.
Pints of ice-cream,
eagerly awaited, quickly distributed.
The ice-cream,
in addition to a sumptious buffet,
latter in less-than-glam setting.

Pints of ice-cream,
uncapping peals of delight, bursts of happiness.

Are you happy today?
Yes, yes, yes indeed, with ice-cream in my mouth! :P

花开富贵

Many plants, residing in the huge tree outside.

Ferns, creepers and all.

Then a shower of white orchids bloomed, unexpectedly,

from the horn fern nestled on the tree trunk.

An unexpected sight!

A blessing this CNY!

The Little CNY Rose

The little rose. It too jostled to bloom this Lunar New Year. Our little "dragon" rose. :)

CNY 6

Tis the 6th day of the Lunar New Year. A Sat, a weekend. A time to gather, to meet and chat.

Together ...

The long beans, snuggly lined together.

Side by side, together.

Neatly, together.

Yet not together.

Each on its own; each in its own world.

Each playing on its own iPhone; each in its own world, oblivious to the world.

The long beans, neatly lined together.

Weighed down by the grilled chicken piece above.

Weighed down together ...

... by force.

A new convenience

A new convenience for the new year.

A travel-size atomiser! As small as a lipstick holder. :)

The little Red Periwinkle

The little Red Periwinkle,

a shadow of its vibrant self,

then blossoming with abundant flowers,

glowing bright red in the morning sun.

The little Red Periwinkle,

shrivelling over time,

stems and leaves dwindling to a handful,

yielding space in the pot

to hardy fly-by-night plants and resilient weeds.

The little Red Periwinkle,

a lone stem left,

a few leaves, in sickly yellow,

struggling to turn green with chlorophyll.

Then a tiny red bud appeared.

Then a small flower unfurled.

The little Red Periwinkle,

now with a red flower.

A single lone flower.

But in time for Lunar New Year nevertheless!
