pensive this weekend

It's sad news on the news bulletins, one after another, this weekend.

A 16-year-old boy died from being hit by a bus - so much life, so much hope, snuffed out in an instant. Then in the early hours, two young men died in burning flames after their car crashed. And this morning, in the SAF Sheares Bridge Run, a young OCS platoon commander died after a 21-km run.

(Even the comedy detective drama series from Hongkong that runs every weekend, ends on a tragic note in its last episode tonight ... !)

So much sad news. The young lives. All the potential. All the hopes.

All these also a reminder to us to treasure our loved ones, our friends. A reminder to express thanks and appreciation promptly. A reminder to count our blessings, and be appreciative that we are blessed.
