The Sun Moon Lake ( 日月潭 ) was the place where Dr Sun Yat Sen and Soong Qing Ling used to visit.
Near the lake are motels, hotels, sprung up assumingly to cater to the tourist flow to the 
scenic lake. Near the lake is a temple - Wen Wu Temple ( 文武庙), a big majestic looking temple.
