A symbiotic co-existence; and a single bloom

At the junction of Grange Road and the road leading to One Tree Hill, on the small traffic triangle stands a sturdy tree, with sturdy branches. It looks like an oleander tree. Or maybe it's frangipanni. Deep pink flowers.

Inter-twinned with it is a bougainvilla plant, flowering too. They look like they have been together for a long time, supporting each other, beautifying each other.

A whole-of-plant-kingdom approach! ;)

Elsewhere, as the rains fall and the weather cools, a single bloom appeared. Lilac in colour, frail in many sense of the word. The plant came, by itself, and settled in one of the pots. Growing nicely in cool weather, but shrivelling under harsh sunlight.
